HOW IT STARTED

The Dry Eye Society was founded in 2022 by a group of Queensland optometrists

Recognising the need for a professional organisation dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye, the Dry Eye Society began.

Our mission is to advance the field of dry eye diagnosis and treatment through education, research, and advocacy. Our board members are all highly respected professionals in the field, with years of experience in treating dry eye patients.

The Dry Eye Society’s vision is to be recognised and trusted as the leading professional society for dry eyes in Australia.

The Dry Eye Society’s mission is to promote education, professional development and networking in the dry eyes and ocular surface disease field. We provide education to optometrists and eye care professionals. We communicate with other health providers and the general public to increase awareness about dry eyes and ocular surface disease and their treatments.
